Rick Magder
Rick Magder together with his father and two brothers built one of the largest entertainment companies in Canada. Magder Studios was the largest independent production studio facility in Canada and home to many television and feature productions including: Stanley and Iris starring Jane Fonda and Robert DeNiro, The Freshman starring Marlon Brando and Mathew Broderick, Suspect starring Cher and Dennis Quaid, SCTV and many more productions for all the major Hollywood studios.
After moving to New York in 1997, Magder turned his attention to developing innovative Jewish content for a variety of media including print, television and the web. He was responsible for creating the department of Media and Broadcasting for the Orthodox Union where he developed a variety of educational programs including: The Prince of Egypt Family Haggadah for Passover in association with DreamWorks SKG and Tinker Shop Tales, an animated special that teaches positive character traits and values to children. In addition, his documentary work led him to interviewing such politicians as President Carter, President Ford, Hillary Clinton, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Ted Kennedy, Rudolf Giulliani, Jean Kirkpatrick and many others. The trigger film Passover at the Wellmans which he both produced and directed has been released worldwide and has received acclaim throughout the Jewish world.
Rick is responsible for creating projectsinai.org, an innovative website which incorporates a unique technology for online interactive education.
